So what's been going on since the last update.. I really don't want to go into that hmms, there's been way too much happening this year. Its a good year though! One of the better ones I think, and this has been a good holiday too, at least I know I'm not wasting it away haha! I have no idea what I did with this June so its nice that I think I'll remember what I'm doing now.
Hmm so I've been visiting thrift shops a lot lately! Amazing how many we have actually because we all labour under the idea that Singapore is not a very second-hand-y place but just in my neighbourhood (15 mins bus ride) there are about 3 thrift shops! Holland, Bukit Merah, Margaret Drive. Hmm but I gotta say my favourite thus far still lies over in Aljunied HAHA because its super messy and has a lot of books and can be cheap :D mainly the books. :) there's penguin classics going for less that 1 buck and also a lot of Christian books haha just that I don't know which are good so I don't get any!
But I'm still reading New Seeds of Contemplation (Thomas Merton) and its hard to read that book fast because I need to think and absorb. Oh osmosis would that you worked for books. I'm also reading 连城诀! HAHA I'm really proud of myself because I haven't actually touched any Chinese book in ages and I'm really ashamed of that so I'm back to my beloved 武侠 heh! I haven't found any long Chinese book that I finish other than 金庸 which is kinda sad :( oh well. I just started, 18 pages into it, so wish me luck harhar.
Watching that right now and woah-oh finally found a good youtube keyboard teacher! Ahahahaha resolved resolved. Resoluted, I remember that one :P oh yes and I should get back to my Tchaikovsky December and Bach Partita 1 and Beethovan Sonata and Mozart Sonata.. haven't touched any classical pieces in a while and I'm supposed to be training myself! ARGH discipline y u so impossible :(
Oh I've been doing some artsy stuff recently and surprising myself a lot HAHA because I really don't do and can't do art. It all started with clearing my clothes out to bring stuff to the Aljunied thrift shop. I found this pair of jeans that were, umm, halfway altered by me some time ago, abandoned it because I did one leg and it was sorta ugly HAHA. Never really liked that pair of jeans anyway! Mmhmms so I chopped off the bottoms and now I finally have denim shorts and a grand total of one pair of jeans! But eh, jeans, you can reuse them 98208234 times anyway (yes I'm not so secretly a dude). But I digress. Back to denim, I now have a lot of denim material which I have no use for.. so I searched google "THINGS TO DO WITH SCRAP DENIM" and I made a wallet! Hoho. And talented me, I made that phone there too :)
Yay I'm having problem with the coins sigh should I add buttons? Raar!
So anyway that only took up on leg of denim HAHA and with the other one I made a cover for what might be my 2012 planner and also a cover for my bible! Yay because the edges were starting to fray - I can't think of the right word for paper "fraying". I think I should know this. Dog-ear-ing! There we gooo.
And now I'm working on Yanni's amazing birthday present and having tons of fun ahahaha! Kinda inspired to do something like that for myself too but ah well maybe one day. I like ihanna's stuffs, she's brilliant. Loving my Russian Doll too but I don't know where to display it how to display it or maybe I should give it away as a present because hey, they're cool. YW thinks they're creepy HAHA silly little brother.
Soccer soccer soccer, this holidays has been horrible for our training WE HAVEN'T HAD A SINGLE PROPER TRAINING and its really chafing away blearghs but I really love the juniors man shall miss them so freaking much. Then there's the captaincy issue, without a December soccer camp its kinda like we're losing our traditions. Next we'll stop doing cone-dances on people's birthdays :O I hope we get new people next year =/
Ahh, in about 10 days I shall do a post on new year resolutions, that never gets old.. although the old year is going by. Hah punned.
In other news (and again) I'm really worried about D and I think we should call soon grah =/
This Friday I might be going to the Soup Kitchen in Aljunied with my grandma! How cool is that, ahaha! Best part is they're almost all Hokkien speakers so grandma should fit in well.. mmmhmms should start praying for a miracle heh! Changes are what we like to fret about no? Interruptions that are good but that could lead to awkward situations are always horrible to dwell on.. Psalm 37, do not fret! Whee.
I'm so psyched for Year 6 and 2012 and graduation and eating from the Muslim food stall again and seeing P and N and Y and I don't know, anyone else I haven't been talking to much ahaha! Pretty much excited and curious and psyched for life recently haha wondering what He's gonna do.
I hope I'll still have time when school reopens to work on the Dragonfly ARP! Shall keep updating over there hopefully. So far its been progressing decently! The needing-sunshine part though, is kinda a bitch to work with come end of year.
